The Human Impact.
In Vietnam, the war had heavily impacted both the North and the South. In the North, the US bombing that occurred there had completely destroyed the land where the Vietnamese lived. In the South, people have also suffered from the results of the US bombings, as a result of Agent Orange. It is known that there was an amount of children with physical deformities.
From the American perspective, troops began to take their anger upon villages; one of those events such as My Lai. This massacre was filmed, although the US military attempted to cover it.

In this article, Bill Zadel, was a man who fought during the Vietnam War in 1967. once he was recruited back to his hometown of Chicago. His wife had noticed that his personality had changed in a good way towards things. According to his wife, she thinks "...Bill felt he didn’t have to defend himself for being in Vietnam...If people wanted to know about it, he was happy to talk about what he did. He wasn’t a very political person. He kept his leanings to himself.”
